    How long have you been in the interior design business?
    International Design House has been providing interior design services for nearly 30 years throughout the United States, Caribbean Islands, and Mexico.
    What type of specialty knowledge do you have to offer clients that many other do not?
    International Design House has been in ownership of woodworking, drapery, and upholstery manufacturing facilities. The knowledge gained through these ownerships have helped tremendously when interior designing. We know what will work and can work. Too many times interior designers come in with projects and there is no way to manufacture them. The designs may be beautiful on paper, but in reality, cannot be produced.
    Have you designed for any celebrities?
    Yes, we have. Of course, we cannot disclose names and locations due to privacy contacts. However, the photos of my work on the Portfolio page show you the quality that celebrities, as well as the general consumer, expect and will receive from International Design House.
    What do you feel are the main misconceptions that people have about interior designers?
    In general, people think that to hire an interior designer you must be rich. This is not true with International Design House. Not everyone wants to spend a huge amount of money on their interior design. "Robbing Peter to pay Paul" is a perfect example. You can create a spectacular look by putting the budget money where it counts the most. A living room does not need custom silk sofas that no one sits on. We tell clients to spend their money where people live, like in a family room. You can select drape fabric that is not $200.00 per yard and it can still be attractive and make a fabulous impact in your room.
    If I am purchasing a foreclosed home, should I use an interior designer?
    Absolutely. An interior designer should be called to approximate the costs of remodeling. Many times, especially if a client is on a tight budget, an interior designer can recommend colors and styles that will work with the existing cabinetry and home architecture. Hire by the hour, know the hourly charges up-front, and have a list of specific questions so time is not wasted. At International Design House, we are more than willing to work with our clients by the hour, project, commission, or any way they feel comfortable, within reason. Many times, a home just needs to be freshened up. Paint, rearranging furniture, moving art and accessories, some new pieces here and there can make all the difference. International Design House will work from consultations to complete turn-key projects.
